Chennai Super Kings suffered a catastrophic defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday (May 18), which has eliminated them from the IPL 2024.
After a 27-run defeat, CSK were toppled by RCB to claim the 4th and final playoff spot. The Southern Derby had all the drama but it ended in the favour of the Bengaluru outfit, who will march on to Ahmedabad for the Eliminator.

After CSK's defeat, various hilarious hurls were aimed at the franchise. Being one of the two most successful franchises in IPL history, Chennai's expulsion from the group stages was a shock to many.
Also, this is the second consecutive time CSK failed to qualify for playoffs after winning the trophy in the previous year. Following that, the online e-commerce giants Flipkart took a massive dig at the franchise with a hilarious video, which went viral on social media.
Flipkart uploaded a video of a person wearing RCB's Virat Kohli shirt and carrying a package on his head. The caption of the video read, "Looks like an express delivery of band-aids to Chennai".
The post from Flipkart has gone viral since. The X post had over 6200 likes and reached almost 1.63 lakh users on X. But after some hours, the post was deleted by Flipkart from their X account.
The Chennai fans mustn't have been amused by Flipkart's act and the hilarious post had to be erased from social media. Flipkart, whose headquarter is in Bengaluru, were elated for sure, but perhaps got a bit too carried away with the celebrations.
