IPL 2024: Four CSK Youngsters who can make Big Impact This Year

Chennai Super Kings have the challenging task of defending the IPL title in 2024. The Yellow Army scripted a fantastic triumph last season and now is the joint-most successful franchise in IPL history with 5 titles.

MS Dhoni is approaching the final chapter of his IPL career and will be hoping to end on a high note if he decides to hang his boots at the end of this IPL. CSK do have some top players in their squad, and they have added more firepower in the IPL 2024 auction.

Along with the gladiators, they do possess a few excellent young talents in the team, who can rise to the highest on their day. As the tournament approaches, here are three CSK youngsters to keep an eye on this season-

Sameer Rizvi

Sameer Rizvi has become the most expensive uncapped player in the IPL 2024 as Chennai Super Kings acquired him for a whopping Rs. 8.40 crore. The Uttar Pradesh batter is known for his hard-hitting prowess and is a terrific six-hitter. Rizvi is set to get opportunities with CSK, and if he can capitalize, the 20-year-old can become a regular in his maiden IPL season. He is still a raw talent, but will definitely be someone to keep an eye on.

Rajvardhan Hangargekar

Rajvardhan Hangargekar made his IPL debut in 2023 and played a couple of matches. He picked up three wickets in one match but a disappointing outing in the second one ensured no more matches for him. The Maharashtra-born player has pace and with his wicket-taking abilities, Hangargekar can prove himself to be an asset for CSK this season. The 21-year-old is likely to get chances and it is to be seen how he approaches his 2nd season with the Yellow Army.

Shaik Rasheed

Shaik Rasheed is one of the retained CSK players and the 19-year-old has an abundance of talent. He is yet to make his IPL debut but can burst into the scene in the upcoming season. Rasheed is known for his flamboyance with the bat and can also bowl decent leg-break. The 19-year-old already has a T20 century to his name and did pretty well for Andhra Pradesh in the SMAT this season. If Rasheed gets an opportunity, he will have to make the most of it.

Nishant Sindhu

Nishant Sindhu is one of CSK's exciting talents to keep an eye on. The Haryana teenager is a batting all-rounder is well equipped and has been performing well in the domestic circuit. He was signed for Rs. 60 lakh in 2023, but is yet to make his debut in the IPL. With IPL 2024 beckoning, Sindhu would aim to step up and make himself in contention for a start. The southpaw has done well for India U-19 previously and it is to be seen if he can break into the CSK lineup this year.
