Rishabh Pant has made his return to cricket after a long lay-off with injury. The Delhi Capitals captain took to the field on Saturday (March 23) in the IPL 2024 match against Punjab Kings, after 454 days with the injury.
Pant suffered an accident on December 25, 2022 and since then has been out of action. He suffered multiple fractures and had to undergo multiple surgeries. The Indian player didn't take part in the IPL last year, missed out on the WTC Final and missed the World Cup 2023 as well.

But as he made a return to cricket on Saturday, it was an emotional day for all cricket fans. And Google India posted a special message for Rishabh Pant, which has won hearts on social media.
'It's been a long wait, welcome back,' a post on X from Google India wrote. It had a picture attached which showed 454 days, the exact number of days since Rishabh Pant had his accident.
The post from Google caught the eye immediately and Netizens hailed Google for their amazing gesture. The post went viral with more than 2100 likes on the original content and more than 400 retweets.
Rishabh Pant scored 18 runs off the bat in 13 balls. His team Delhi Capitals scored 174 runs but lost to Punjab Kings by 4 wickets. The Indian player also kept wickets and converted a stumping as well.
