IPL 2024: Four Gujarat Titans stars who will be perfect as Impact Player

Gujarat Titans will be hoping to continue their excellent run in the IPL as they prepare for the upcoming season this year.

Titans have been outstanding in their inaugural two seasons, with one winners and runners-up title to their name. They won the IPL in 2022, and were the beaten finalists in 2023.

Ahead of the IPL 2024 auction, the Titans let go of their captain Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians. In the auction, they have splashed the money on some decent signings. Shahrukh Khan, Umesh Yadav, Spencer Johnson were among their marquee buys and it is to be seen how they shape up in the tournament.

The Impact Player rule was introduced last season in IPL 2023, where a player can come on as a substitute and participate in batting and bowling. The arrival of this rule changed the dynamics of the IPL last season, and it is set to play a big part again in 2024. Here are the four players who may not start in the match, but can be introduced as an Impact Player-

Sai Sudharsan

Sai Sudharsan was a fantastic performer for GT last season. The southpaw has amassed 507 runs in 13 IPL innings and also made his India debut recently. The 22-year-old will be hoping to play a huge part in 2024 as well. He can be a perfect Impact Player for GT when they chase in an IPL match.

Mohit Sharma

Mohit Sharma was the standout bowler for Gujarat Titans last season. The veteran pacer was roped in by them after spending a year as a net bowler, but was outstanding for them with 27 wickets in just 14 matches.

The 35-year-old pacer can be introduced as an Impact Player and he can be an asset for GT in this season. Mohit's ability to pick wickets and variations in the slog overs can be a game-changing factor for the Titans.

Abhinav Manohar

Abhinav Manohar is a dasher with the bat who is known for his hitting prowess in the middle order. Manohar can be introduced as an Impact Player during a run-chase as his potent hitting will be of massive help for them.

R Sai Kishore

Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore is an Impact Player option for Gujarat Titans whom they can introduce in slow and low pitches. Sai Kishore's ability to spin the ball with accuracy can be exploited latter in the IPL season. In pitches such as Kolkata, Chennai, Sai Kishore can be the perfect foil to Rashid Khan in GT's spin department.
