IPL 2024: 'Fire and Water' - Harbhajan Singh Says RCB vs CSK Will Be The Most Watched Match This Season

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has said the virtual knockout match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings will be the most watched game in the IPL 2024.

With a playoff spot hanging in the balance, southern rivals RCB and CSK will lock horns on the penultimate day of the league phase at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday (May 18).

CSK will just need to win to seal a playoff spot, while RCB will need to win by a good margin and hope few other results go their way to finish in the top four on the IPL 2024 points table.

Harbhajan, who is working as a cricket expert and commentator with the official TV broadcaster Star Sports for IPL 2024, shared his thoughts on who will win the upcoming do-or-die match between RCB and CSK.

"A person who shows courage on match day will win the do-or-die match that day. It's important to be aggressive and calm at the same time. Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni are champion players. There is no doubt about it," Harbhajan said on Star Sports Press Room Show.

"And then, more importantly, they know how to play big games. Virat Kohli was a part of the 2011 World Cup team. Dhoni was the captain of the team. Dhoni has won a lot of trophies."

The former spinner also said that Kohli may have not won a big trophy, but his hunger to land one will see him up and ready for the contest on the day as it's a big opportunity.

"Even if Virat Kohli doesn't have a trophy in his hand, if you look at the leader on the run board, he has done his job exactly the way he has been doing it every year," Harbhajan added.

"So it's just a matter of one more game. He will give himself that chance. He will say that this is the game, This is the opportunity. So, I don't want to go back and think about what has already happened in the past."

Harbhajan also said that the RCB vs CSK clash will be a big game that will see thousand throng the venue and many will be glued to the screens, predicting the game will be the most watched in this season.

"RCB vs. CSK is going to be a big game. Virat Kohli is fire and Dhoni is water. Still. Who will win that day, we'll find out on Saturday. But it's going to be a massive game," the former spinner said.

"There will be a huge crowd in Bangalore. There will be as much crowd outside as there will be inside the stadium. So, it's going to be probably the most watched game of this IPL."
