The Delhi Capitals (DC) registered a crucial victory in the IPL 2024 by defeating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by six wickets in Lucknow on Friday.
A target of 168 runs was achieved comfortably by the Capitals to halt their losing streak and lift themselves from the bottom of the table.

It was an excellent all-round performance from Delhi Capitals. Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed stole the show with the ball by containing LSG into a moderate score. And then the batting prowess of Rishabh Pant and Jake Fraser-McGurk took them over the line.
Jake Fraser-McGurk made his IPL debut and dazzled with a fantastic knock of 55 runs in just 35 balls. The Australian came into bat after David Warner's early dismissal and fought his way into the middle. He didn't have a fluent start, but caught up remarkably in the latter stages.
The 22-year-old hit 2 fours and 5 mammoth sixes in his knock and gave them a magnificent platform. Former India player Robin Uthappa was in awe of the youngster and spoke highly about him after the match. Uthappa thinks Fraser-McGurk is going to be in the IPL for the long haul.
"I feel like he'll be here for the long haul. Great way to start off his career in the IPL. Got off the mark with a six, got a fifty in his first IPL game, and scored shots in front of the wicket, on the off and on side. I think he meant business. There are some weaknesses here and there, but I think they'll be found out in the years to come if he stays on top of it," Uthappa said on JioCinema.
Fraser-McGurk was roped in as a replacement for Harry Brook and he has commenced his journey in an excellent fashion. The Australian player also registered the 2nd highest score in IPL's history by a no. 3 batter on his IPL debut, only behind his fellow Australian Michael Hussey, who scored a massive unbeaten 116 against Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2008.
