The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium, established in 2003 and situated in the city of Dharamsala in the Kangra district, is all set to host a few matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
HPCA Stadium, which is considered as one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world for it's picturesque surrounding, has hosted 2 Tests, 9 One Day Internationals, 10 T20 Internationals and 11 Indian Premier League matches.

The venue is currently home to the Indian cricket team, the Himachal Pradesh state team and the IPL franchise Punjab Kings, who host few of their home matches at the HPCA Stadium along with their original home ground.
Dharamsala's HPCA Stadium is one of the 13 venues that will host the matches of IPL 2024. The venue in Dharamsala will host the home matches of PBKS after the first five matches were held in New PCA Stadium in Mullanpur.
Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium will play hosts to two matches in May after the New PCA Stadium hosted five home matches of Punjab Kings in March and April. Now, we take a look at the HPCA Stadium Dharamsala T20 and IPL records at the venue:
The pitches at the venue have aided the quick bowlers, but has seen a few high-scoring first innings totals in the limited overs formats with the chasing team often finding it tough to chase down the target.
In the 2023 season, we saw one team chasing and one team defending win the two matches with both the encounters being high-scoring contests. Even in the ODI World Cup last year, we saw good batting wickets. So, expect similar wickets to be on offer for the two IPL 2024 matches.
The month of May in Dharamsala is expected to see cloudy days with high chances of thunderstorms especially on the two match days with max temperature of 23°C and minimum temperature of 17°C on May 5, and max temp of 35°C on May 9.
Rain prediction for Dharamsala on May 5 and May 9: There is 60 percent chance of showers in the afternoon, but it's expected to clear by evening on May 5. As May 5th match is an afternoon game, there may be interruptions or delay.
On May 9th, there is 58 percent chance for thundershowers in the afternoon, but is likely to clear before the match start time. However, it may still remain cloudy for the rest of the evening and night.
