Kolkata Knight Riders all-rounder Sunil Narine has registered his name in a prestigious milestone in KKR's victory over Mumbai Indians on Saturday (May 11).
Knight Riders secured their playoff spot with another victory over the Paltans at the Eden Gardens. It was their fourth straight victory as KKR completed a double over Hardik Pandya's team.

Sunil Narine, who has been a force for KKR this season, failed to make his supreme impact in the match. The West Indian got dismissed for a duck on his very first ball. He misjudged an inswinger from Jasprit Bumrah which disturbed the timbers. With the ball, Narine did a sufficient job as he picked up 1 wicket in his three overs, giving away just 21 runs. And during the match, the KKR veteran also managed to achieve a fantastic milestone.
Narine has now become only the third player in IPL's history to score 400 runs and pick up 15 or more wickets in a season. The KKR star got to his 15th wicket after dismissing Ishan Kishan, and he already has 461 runs so far.
The 35-year-old joins the elite list with two gladiators of the game - Jack Kallis and Shane Watson.
Shane Watson scored 472 runs and picked up 17 wickets for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2008, the inaugural season of the competition. Jack Kallis scored 409 runs and picked up 15 wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2012.
Incidentally, both RR and KKR won their inaugural IPL title in those years. With Narine now joining this special list, the fans will be optimistic of ending their 12-year drought.
