Kolkata Knight Riders star Sunil Narine has revealed the reason for his muted and composed celebrations after getting a wicket.
Narine is one of the gladiators of T20 cricket. The KKR stalwart has been an amazing servant for them in the competition and has an association of 13 straight years with them.

In the ongoing IPL 2024, Narine has showcased his batting prowess as well, sitting 5th in the Orange Cap chart with 461 runs to his name, which consists of his maiden T20 century against Rajasthan Royals.
But apart from his batting, the primary skills of Narine is his mystery spin, which has kept on bamboozling the batters. Even this season amid the batting hurricanes in the IPL, Narine has picked up 13 wickets and boasts a miserly economy rate of only 6.6 runs per over.
The West Indian is known for his calm and composed nature on the field. On the ground, even after taking a wicket, the KKR bowler keeps his emotion in control and almost never goes overboard with his celebration.
And in a recent podcast with KKR in the Knights Dug Out, Narine revealed the reason behind it. The 35-year-old cited his father's learnings which he incorporates in his life and in cricket.
"Growing up, a lesson from my dad was that 'if you get someone out today, you still have to play them tomorrow and next time'. I think it's enjoy the moment as much as you can, but don't overdo it," Narine said on the podcast.
Narine joined KKR in 2012 and is one of the few players to have played for only one IPL franchise in his career. The bondage between the players and KKR management is quite excellent and the warmth of the city is also something which attracts the player, and the mystery spinner is not an exception.
"Since the first day, I've been loving and enjoying being here. It's been the same team since the start and playing all over the world with different Knights Riders franchises has been great," Narine added when asked about the KKR connection.
