Kolkata Knight Riders are set to embark on their immediate IPL 2024 journey at home conditions.
With three wins in the first four matches, KKR currently sit in the 2nd position in the table. The Knight Riders will play their next five matches at the Eden Gardens and their home affair starts with a match against Lucknow Super Giants on April 14.

The demand for the tickets has hugely increased as the fans have queued on online platforms for the tickets.
The high-voltage clashes like Royal Challengers Bengaluru have already seen sold-out tickets, but amid the craze for tickets, the black market has become active. Along the 'Maidan' area of Kolkata, several 'agents' are roaming and blacking the tickets with a hiked price.
Ticket-Blacking is regarded as a serious offence and previously we have seen police making isolated arrests, but on Friday (April 12), MyKhel witnessed open ticket blacking just 50 metres away from the KKR ticket collecting centre in Kolkata.
Just beside the Mohammedan Ground, KKR have their ticket collecting centre. And from a maximum of 50 metres away from there, just on the footpath on the other side of the canal, several people could be seen selling hiked price tickets. The Rs. 1500 priced tickets were being sold for 2000 to 2500, while the Rs. 2500 ticket was being sold for Rs. 3000. The black-market demand generally gets higher as matchday nears, and we can expect these numbers to rise only with the passing of time.
Around some 100 metres away from where all of this Black Marketing was taking place, we spotted a couple of policemen on their horse rides. When MyKhel asked about the ongoing offence, they said there were civil police on patrol and then subsequently denied any wrongdoings on their watch.
Many supporters from humble backgrounds come to watch KKR across West Bengal and other states. Due to unfamiliarity with online ticket booking, they often pay almost two or three and sometimes even tenfold from these ticket blackers. Kolkata Police has previously taken various commendable steps to curb this malpractice, and they may have to step up again as the home games are coming thick and fast.
