IPL 2024: Kolkata Knight Riders Launch New Kit - Watch

Kolkata Knight Riders have launched a new kit for the IPL 2024 season on Monday (March 18).

The Knight Riders launched an event in Kolkata on Monday, where they released the team jersey for the upcoming season.

"The armour of our Knights. Presenting, our official matchday jersey for TATA IPL2024," the caption wrote on their official jersey unveiling post on X.

KKR will be donning their Purple and Gold for the upcoming season and will be hoping for a change of fortunes this season. They haven't qualified for the playoffs in the last two seasons, and the hopes are there to change that this term around.

The arrival of former captain Gautam Gambhir as a mentor is a huge boost, and that has been coupled with the arrival of current captain Shreyas Iyer, who didn't take part last season due to a back injury.

"I feel that all the players in the squad all match winners in their own way and they have proved it in the past as well. I am looking forward to having some great memories this season and fingers crossed, lift the trophy as well. Great moments are born with great opportunities and captaining this squad in front of 60,000 fans in the stadium when the atmosphere will be electrifying and crowd will be bustling - I cannot wait for it," Shreyas Iyer said at the event.

KKR have formed a strong squad for this IPL edition. They bought Mitchell Starc for a whopping Rs. 24.75 crore, making the Australian the most expensive player in IPL history.

KKR will commence their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 at the Eden Gardens.
