IPL 2024 Longest Six: MS Dhoni, one of the greatest finishers in cricket, demonstrated his skills once again in a crucial match between CSK and RCB at Chinnaswamy Stadium, on Saturday (May 14).
The 42-year-old wicketkeeper-batter scored 25 runs off just 13 balls but failed to score the necessary runs to take his team to the playoffs.

CSK needed 17 off the final over to qualify for the playoffs, with Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja - the Yellow brigade's biggest hopes - present in the middle. On the first ball of the 20th over bowled by Yash Dayal, Dhoni hit a massive six, launching a 110-metre shot out of the ground.
The first ball from the left-arm pacer was a poor delivery - a full toss on the middle and leg - and Dhoni pulled over the fine leg and out of the stadium, despite not hitting it cleanly.
This reduced the equation to 11 runs from 5 balls. However, Dhoni was dismissed on the next ball, and Yash Dayal held his nerve to lead RCB to the playoffs. As a result, CSK was eliminated, leaving fans to wonder if this was Dhoni's final match.
He might have failed to pull off the run chase for the CSK in the must-win game, but fans expect Dhoni to come back in the Yellow jersey next season and entertain them again.
The way Dhoni played some of the knocks in this season, despite having an injured knee, the Jharkhand cricketer showcased his batting prowess and proved there is still a lot of cricket left in him.
