Former CSK batter Suresh Raina has given a massive update regarding MS Dhoni's retirement plans in IPL on Sunday (May 12).
MS Dhoni has been poised to leave cricket at the end of this season. The former CSK captain is 42, and is definitely in the twilight years of his career.

He was speculated to end his IPL career last season but the India stalwart announced to elongate it for another year. He handed over the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad this year.
There are also reports of him playing with a leg injury and playing against doctor's advice. Amid this, as CSK are playing Rajasthan Royals in their final home game of the season, speculations are if this will be the maestro's swansong for CSK.
Dhoni's prestigious career with CSK spans since the inception of the tournament. The veteran also led the franchise to 5 IPL titles and is regarded as one of the greatest of the game.
But will this be Dhoni's last appearance at Chepauk? The question was asked to Suresh Raina during the match. Raina joined the Tamil commentary team, where he was asked if the RR match was Dhoni's final at the Chepauk Stadium.
But Raina shrugged off the question and answered swiftly that it wouldn't be Dhoni's last at the stadium.
"Definitely Not," Raina said in reply, prompting the commentators to laugh in joy.
"Chinna Thala Vaayila irundhe vandhaachi (Chinna Thala saying himself from his own mouth)," the commentator said. Chinna Thala is the name by which Raina his popular amongst the CSK fans.
Dhoni's return to CSK for next season is still a matter of time but the player can play at Chepauk this season as well.
If CSK, finish in the top two spots, they will definitely have a game at Chepauk. Even if they finish in the 3rd or 4th position, that means a win in the Eliminator can bring CSK back to their home turf for Qualifier 2. If CSK crashes out of the IPL 2024, then this will be the end for MS Dhoni and co. at the Chennai Stadium for the season.
