MSK Prasad, former chief selector of the Indian cricket team, has been roped in by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as a strategic consultant in lead up to the IPL 2024.
Earlier, LSG replaced Andy Flower with Justin Langer as the head coach and retained Morne Morkel as the bowling coach of the KL Rahul-led side. The side is revamping its coaching setup in quest of their first title.

The first two seasons for them in the IPL have seen them qualify for the playoffs but fail to travel the distance. In the IPL 2023, LSG lost to Mumbai Indians (MI) in the eliminator.
"Prasad brings with him a wealth of experience and a stellar track record in cricket operations, coupled with a passion that has driven him to remarkable achievements in both national and international arenas," a release from LSG said.
"His journey is marked by a range of accomplishments that spans from representing the Indian National Cricket Team to steering the operations of prominent cricket associations; all of which will bring valuable insights and experience to our organization," it added.
Beyond his association with the BCCI, the 48-year-old has also served as the Director of Cricket Operations at the Andhra Cricket Association. The former wicketkeeper-batter played six Tests and 17 ODIs for India from May 1998 to January 2000.
