Mumbai Indians have signed Luke Wood as a replacement for Jason Behrendorff for the IPL 2024 season.
Jason Behrendorff performed excellently for Mumbai Indians, picking up 14 wickets in 12 games in IPL 2023. But the Australian bowler has been ruled out with an injury.

Mumbai Indians released a statement, announcing the signing of Luke Wood to the franchise for the IPL 2024.
"We're very excited for Luke though, who comes in on the back of having played around the world in T20 leagues,and having impressed everyone with his all-round skills," a statement from Mumbai Indians read.
Wood has done superbly in the Pakistan Super League this season, picking up 12 wickets for Peshawar Zalmi. He is roped in for his Rs 50 lakh base price.
He has also won the T20 Blast medal two years in a row, and he also has a County Championship hundred under his belt.
The 28-year-old has played 2 ODIs and 5 T20Is for England and has 8 international wickets across formats. Wood has also represented Sylhet Strikers in the Bangladesh Premier League, and Melbourne Stars in the BBL.
