IPL 2024 Playoff Scenario: The ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season is entering its business end and we have got our four teams for the playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders remain on top of the IPL 2024 points table with 19 points in 13 matches and become the first team to qualify for playoffs. Rajasthan Royals are placed 2nd with 16 points in 12 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad currently occupy the 3rd spot with 15 points. CSK currently occupy it with 14 points.

RCB vs CSK: Chennai Super Kings lost the Match 68 of IPL 2024 to Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 27 runs and thus RCB did the unthinkable and qualified for the playoffs.
Mumbai Indians (MI) sit 10th in the table with 8 points in 14 matches and are eliminated from the IPL 2024 playoff race.
Punjab Kings are also another team who are eliminated from the tournament. This is the 10th straight season for the Punjab boys without playoffs, since they were the beaten finalists in IPL 2014.
Gujarat Titans are eliminated from the tournament. The IPL 2022 champions will not qualify for the knockouts for the first time in their three seasons.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have qualified for the IPL 2024 playoffs with 14 points in 14 matches, and by the barest of margins as well. They won the last six matches in a row to register their place in the playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders have qualified for the playoffs and have now sealed a top-two spot as well. It means, they will be playing the Qualifier 1 on May 21 in Ahmedabad and have an extra chance to qualify for the Final.
Rajasthan Royals suffered their third consecutive defeat at the hands of Chennai Super Kings. With DC winning against LSG, RR have now qualified for playoffs.
RR will have to win against KKR if SRH win their match against PBKS to hold on to their 2nd spot in the table.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have 15 points in 13 matches after the washout in Hyderabad and have now qualified for the playoffs.
With the point in Hyderabad, SRH have now made it to the playoffs, but if Rajasthan Royals win their match against KKR, SRH won't be able to get the Top-Two spot.
Chennai Super Kings have ended their campaign with 14 points in 14 matches. But their NRR is inferior to RCB and te defending champions are out of the tournament.
Lucknow Super Giants ended up with 14 points in the table but they have been eliminated from the IPL 2024. LSG will be missing out on the playoffs for the first time after getting through in their initial couple of years.
With 14 points in 14 matches, Delhi Capitals are eliminated and they are likely to keep either 5th or 6th place in the table.
