IPL 2024 promo shows Rishabh Pant giving 'Arjan Vailly vibes, Shreyas Iyer as Bengali 'brat'; Hardik and Rahul also feature

IPL 2024 fever is slowly taking over the country, and the new Star Sports promo ahead of the 17th edition gave a major push to the fans' excitement on Sunday, March 3.

The 90 seconds IPL 2024 promo starts with Rishabh Pant entering a local dhaba. Rishabh and all the men guarding him are wearing turbans, giving a perfect 'Arjan Vailly' vibe to the viewers. The opening shots show Rishabh breaking into tears after watching MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja iconic hug post winning the IPL 2023 title.

Shreyas Iyer, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain makes an appearance next, sitting quietly like a 'good' Bengali boy. He soon breaks out dancing after watching Rinku Singh's cracking six against Gujarat Titans (GT) on a TV set, shocking his Bengali family members with his brat moves.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) KL Rahul makes an entry in the video at the third spot. He has portrayed a scholar surrounded by a group of friends watching a Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) match. Rahul immediately does away with his books and starts ranting at the umpire after RCB lose a wicket.

"Out hi nahi hai yaar! Pagal hai ye log," he can be heard saying.

Lastly, newly-appointed Hardik Pandya is shown having a corporate meeting with Japanese delegates. Confused about how to eat using the Japanese chopsticks, Hardik Pandya rolls out a Dandiya dance after the TV set in the conference room shows Mumbai Indians (MI) winning their fifth IPL title.

The IPL 2024 starts from March 22 with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) taking on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Chepauk.
