IPL 2024 Retained Players List: The 10 Indian Premier League franchises have informed the IPL governing council about the players that they have retained and released ahead of the auction, which is scheduled to take place on December 19.

The deadline for teams to release and retain players was extended from November 15 to November 26, there were rumours floating on social media of the players being retained or let go by the franchise ahead of the upcoming mini auction in Dubai.

The IPL Auction will be held for the first time outside India - at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 19 when each team goes into the bidding process with a purse of Rs 100 crore - a Rs 5 crore rise from last year's purse of Rs 95 crore.

The actual purse could differ when entering the auction based on the retention and release of players, who are entering the final year of the three-year contracts before next year's mega auction.

While the usual suspects have been retained, some surprise names have been released as per the list revealed on the deadline. Here is a look at the retained players list of every team ahead of IPL 2024 auction:
