IPL 2024: Rinku Singh's Instagram Story for Yash Dayal after RCB vs CSK goes Viral

Rinku Singh's love for Yash Dayal on social media has created a lot of buzz after the former shared it on his Instagram story on Saturday (May 18).

Yash Dayal bowled a scintillating 20th over to take Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2024 playoffs.

RCB locked horns against CSK in a virtual knockout match, with RCB required to win the match by a margin of greater than 18 runs. With 17 runs to score for CSK to secure qualification, Dayal was tasked to defend it.

He was hit for a mammoth 110-metre six by MS Dhoni in the first ball, but the left-arm pacer picked up Dhoni in his very next ball. After that, Dayal conceded only a solitary run in the final four balls as RCB scripted a famous victory.

Yash Dayal's Redemption

It was one kind of redemption for Yash Dayal. The left-arm pacer, then a Gujarat Titans player, was taken to the cleaners by Rinku Singh in IPL 2023. The KKR southpaw hit Dayal for five consecutive sixes to win the match.

The Uttar Pradesh-born pacer had to endure a lot of ridicule and subsequently, GT released him. RCB picked the pacer in the auction, and he has paid dividends this season.

Rinku Singh shows Love to Yash Dayal

After Dayal's brilliant final over, Rinku Singh took to Instagram and congratulated the pacer. Rinku shared a Story on Instagram with Dayal's image, and captioned it "God's Plan Baby", followed by a Salute emoji as well.

It was commendable from Rinku, who showed support for Dayal and acknowledged the bowler's achievement after such a low point last season.

KKR and RCB can meet again this season. The Knight Riders have finished on top of the table and will be taking either of Sunrisers Hyderabad or Rajasthan Royals in the Qualifier 1 on Tuesday (May 21).
