IPL 2024: Prasidh Krishna on Thursday was replaced by senior South African left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj in the Rajasthan Royals (RR) squad for the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Kolkata Knight Riders also named Afghan player Allah Ghazanfar — a 16-year-old off-spinner — as a replacement for the injured Mujeeb Ur Rahman, the IPL said on Thursday.

Ghazanfar has represented Afghanistan in two ODIs. The youngster has played three T20s and six List A matches and has five and four wickets respectively against his name. Ghazanfar was Afghanistan's second highest wicket-taker at the U-19 World Cup 2024. He joins KKR for his base price of Rs 20 Lakh.
Prasidh, who was retained by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 10 crore, recently underwent a surgery on his left proximal quadriceps tendon and is currently recovering. His replacement Maharaj has played 27 T20Is, 44 ODIs and 50 Tests and has scalped 237 wickets in international cricket.
Additionally, he has played 159 T20s, picking up 130 wickets, and can chip in with some handy runs down the order. RR have brought him on board for his base price of Rs 50 Lakh.
KKR opened their campaign with a four-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, and will face Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, March 29.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have won both their home matches at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. They defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 20 runs, and Delhi Capitals (DC) by 12 runs. They will face Mumbai Indians (MI) at Wankhede Stadium on April 1 in their third match of IPL 2024.
