IPL 2024: S Sriram, the former India off-spinner and spin consultant of Australian cricket team, has reunited with Justin Langer after being appointed as the assistant coach of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the IPL 2023.
Langer has enrolled Sriram as the spin consultant during his tenure as the head coach of the Australian men's cricket team. The Australian legend has again found a job for Sridharan Sriram after taking over as the head coach of KL Rahul-led LSG by replacing Andy Flower.

The appointment of S Sriram has also completed the star-studded backroom staff of the Lucknow-based franchise. Gautam Gambhir will continue as the Global Mentor of the side.
The franchise, which has qualified for the playoffs in two out of their two seasons so far, will also be looked after by four other assistant coaches - Vijay Dahiya, Pravin Tambe and the South African duo of Morne Morkel and Jonty Rhodes.
"Sridharan Sriram brings with him extensive coaching experience. In his tenure with the Bangladesh men’s national T-20 team, he skillfully led them to secure two remarkable victories in the Super-12s of the T-20 World Cup," LSG said in their statement.
"In his role with the Australian men's team, he played a pivotal part in their success at the T20 World Cup and the Ashes during the 2021-22 season.
"He has been involved with the IPL as well, working as an assistant coach specializing in batting and spin bowling for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sriram has also earned the prestigious distinction of an ECB Level-3 “Head Coach” in 2008," it added.
