Week 6 of the cricket extravaganza - Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 saw a little less number of sixes and more wickets as 9 matches played across six venues from April 27 to May 3 witnessed some last-over thrillers.
Rajasthan Royals, finished week six at the top of the IPL 2024 points table despite suffering their second loss of the season at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Kolkata Knight Riders strengthened their chances of a second place finish with two wins in the week.

The defending champions Chennai Super Kings, who opened the week with a convincing win over SRH, were handed their fifth loss of the season by Punjab Kings, who won their only match in the week.
Only KKR, PBKS and Royal Challengers Bengaluru remained perfect in week 6 when Mumbai Indians lost both their matches and Gujarat Titans lost their only outing, while Delhi Capitals, RR, CSK, LSG and SRH registered a win each.
The week witnessed several standout moments like PBKS impeccable record against CSK, Will Jacks’ maiden century for RCB, Jake Fraser-McGurk’s fastest fifty and some economical bowling efforts. Here is a look at myKhel's standout player from week 6 of IPL 2024:
While there were many standout performers with both bat and ball during the week, the one player that stood out and proved his mettle in the shortest format was Kolkata Knight Riders mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy.
Chakravarthy is our standout player of the sixth week in IPL 2024 thanks to his figures of 3 for 16 in 4 overs against the Delhi Capitals at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on April 29 as the bowling spell restricted the opposition at 153/9 in their allotted 20 overs.
The mystery seems to have returned mainly due to bowling on sluggish wickets midway through the season, but the Tamil Nadu spinner continued to dominate with a 2 for 22 spell against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 3.
With the two wicket-taking spells, Chakravarthy has moved into the top 10 wicket-takers list in the ongoing season level with his spin partner Sunil Narine on 13 wickets, but is still faraway from Purple Cap leader Jasprit Bumrah, who has claimed 17 wickets so far.
