IPL 2024: 'Stop Being Insensitive' - Deepak Chahar's Sister defends her Brother from 'Trolls' as CSK Star Stumbles with Injury

By MyKhel Staff

It is looking like another setback for Deepak Chahar as the Chennai Super Kings pacer went off after an injury in their match against Punjab Kings on Wednesday (May 1).

Chahar got injured only in the second ball of the Punjab Kings. After completing the delivery, Chahar pulled up and had to go off the field subsequently. CSK suffered a defeat and Chahar didn't play any part in the match as well.

With just four matches to go, the pacer seems unlikely to return for them this season. Even the CSK coach Stephen Flemming admitted the injury could be a season-ending one for Chahar, which itself is a big blow for CSK.

CSK fans went grumpy on Chahar after his latest setback. The supporters took note of Chahar's repeated injuries and vented their frustration on the player. But amid the criticism, Deepak Chahar's sister Malti Chahar has defended her brother on social media.

"Stop being so insensitive guys! Nobody is enjoying these injuries! He is trying his best and he will comeback stronger," Malti Chahar wrote on her X handle.

Fans commented on her post and defended the reason for the frustration. Many spoke about the huge salary of Deepak Chahar, as the CSK pacer annually gets Rs 14 crore for his services.

An user also said there was not many criticism which induced on the pacer which induced his sister to defend her brother.

"I hardly seen any troll tweet on him, don't know on which basis are you talking," the user said.

Deepak Chahar played 8 matches in the IPL 2024 season and only picked up 5 wickets. He missed out on the IPL 2022 due to injury and had a moderate season last year.
