It has been a scintillating IPL 2024 season for Kolkata Knight Riders star Sunil Narine, who celebrated his 36th birthday with an IPL title win after 10 long years.
KKR's decade-long wait for IPL glory ended as they dismantled Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift their 3rd IPL crown on Sunday.

It was a robust KKR performance on the night, who steamrolled SRH and bundled them out for just 113 runs. Then a dominating run chase saw them wrap up the game within the 11th over.
Sunil Narine picked up one wicket in the Final, but it has been a superb season for him, which meant the Caribbean star won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.
Sunil Narine has been a different beast altogether for the Knight Riders this season. The KKR all-rounder scored 488 runs with the bat with a few fifties and a century. And with the ball, he picked up 17 wickets.
Narine eclipsed the likes Virat Kohli, Travis Head to win the MVP award for the season. This is the KKR star's third MVP award, having previously won in 2012 and 2018. With this, Narine has become the first player in IPL history to win three MVP awards, all of which have come in KKR colours.
2012 - 24 wickets (KKR were Champions)
2018 - 357 runs & 17 wickets (KKR reached Playoffs)
2024 - 488 runs & 17 wickets (KKR are Champions)
The Caribbean stalwart, who has been a superb servant for KKR, was overwhelmed after the title win. He has been with KKR since 2012, and winning the title was a special feeling for the Knight Riders stalwart.
"The feeling is overwhelming and I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift. I am enjoying my cricket at the moment - batting, bowling and fielding. What helps is when the team is winning," Narine said in the post-match presentation.
