Delhi Capitals' quest for their maiden IPL title stretches to the 17th edition of the tournament. The Capitals have formed a strong squad for this season and will be hoping to exhibit a far more clinical outing in IPL 2024.
The Capitals kept most of their core players and then added a few decent names in the auction. An added boost for them will be the return of captain Rishabh Pant, who is set to play in the IPL after a one-year hiatus.

Mitchell Marsh, David Warner are going to be key overseas players for them. New signing Harry Brook, Shai Hope will also be hoping to play a big part. In terms of the Indian contingent, Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar, Prithvi Shaw and Kuldeep Yadav are the most notable names.
Along with their experienced players, the Capitals have a few excellent young players. Abhishek Porel, Yash Dhull have been with them since last season, while they have added new starlets like Kumar Kushagra, Swastik Chikara and others in the latest auction.
Yash Dhull is one of the most important players for them this season. The 21-year-old has played only 4 matches in IPL, scoring 16 runs only. But the youngsters will be hoping to play a bigger part this season. Dhull didn't have the best of season in domestic circuit but will be hoping for a decent outing for the Capitals.
Kumar Kushagra has made his name as one of the most aggressive players in the domestic circuit. The Jharkhand teenager is a flamboyant batter and is a fantastic wicketkeeper as well. He was brought in by Delhi Capitals for Rs. 7.20 crore and the 19-year-old is one of the few custodians in the DC setup. His opportunities may be limited, but Kushagra can be an explosive option for them. He has already played for Jharkhand across all formats and also has a Ranji double-century to his name.
Vicky Ostwal is a lanky young player who bowls left-arm spin and is a prolific wicket taker. Ostwal was part of India's U19 World Cup winning team in 2022 and has been emerging as a top talent in the domestic circuit.
The 21-year-old, who idolizes Ravindra Jadeja, would have to be an understudy to Axar Patel in the DC squad. He is yet to play an IPL match but can prove to be a key player for them in the slow and low tracks of India as the tournament progresses.
