Royal Challengers Bengaluru suffered an agonizing defeat at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2024 on Sunday (April 21).
It was a valiant effort from the RCB side who made a superb chase of 223 runs, but ended up losing the match by just a solitary run. With the seventh defeat in eight matches, RCB's chances of qualifying for the playoffs are almost over.

They have already made a plethora of changes to their playing lineup this season. The continuous chops and changes in the lineup haven't helped but RCB are yet to find their strongest and settled playing XI this season.
Many cricket experts have already advised the RCB management to think about the next season and prepare according to that. And with the mega auction coming in the fray, there is an opportunity for the franchise to expose their untested talents in the coming matches.
And as they take the field in the final six matches of the season, here are three players RCB must give an opportunity. And they can give a chance to at least one of these next three players in the upcoming match against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Manoj Bhandage is a hard-hitter in the domestic circuit and bats in the middle order for Karnataka. The 25-year-old has a reputation as a clean striker of the ball and can be a decent addition for RCB in the coming matches. The youngster is yet to play an IPL match in his career and it will be a big experience for him.
Anuj Rawat is a bright prospect for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and the young wicketkeeper must be given more chances. The 24-year-old is also a top batter and can make some crucial contributions for them in the middle order. Previously, RCB has had success by playing Rawat at the top and that can be another option. Faf du Plessis has done moderately at the top with Virat Kohli and Rawat's introduction can be a positive move.
Akash Deep Singh has played only one match this season. The India pacer is a top-notch player and deserves opportunities. Akash Deep's pace is something RCB can bank on in the coming matches, which has been lacking in the RCB lineup. Although Lockie Ferguson boasts pace, but Akash Deep can be tried in the final few matches.
