An Indian superstar cricketer being booed by the home crowd is a rare instance in Indian cricket. Hardik Pandya was subject to massive trolling on social media and boos on the grounds after replacing Rohit Sharma to lead Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024.

Hardik was booed at toss during Mumbai's IPL 2024 opener against Gujarat Titans (GT), a team he led in IPL 2022 and 2023. Chants of Rohit Sharma echoed at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, and fans did not waste even a single opportunity to express their unhappiness with the all-rounder.

Similar scenes were seen at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Several videos of Hardik Pandya being sledged by the fans have surfaced online. Even Mumbai Indians owners Akash Ambani and Nita Ambani have faced the brunt of the fans.

MS Dhoni DRS gesture: MS Dhoni is now a former CSK captain. Fans, broadcasters, and CSK players are still getting used to the change. In one such instance on the ground during the IPL 2024 opener between Chennai and Gujarat Titans (GT), Dhoni reminded a bowler to ask the new captain for DRS calls. The video went viral, and had the fans emotional to the core.

Kohli and Gambhir meet again: Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir met again, and with a lot of maturity. Gambhir walked out during one of the breaks in Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) RCB innings, when he shared a handshake with Kohli. The duo also hugged and had a little chit-chat.

Virat Kohli's 'Saans to lene de' jibes: RCB star Virat Kohli asked CSK all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and Punjab Kings (PBKS) spinner Harpreet Brar to allow some breathing time between two deliveries as they bowled to his teammates.

Jadeja was bowling to Cameron Green when Kohli chirped, "Abe Saans to lene de usko". He said the same to Harpreet was bowling to Glenn Maxwell.

Harshit Rana's flying kiss to Mayank Agarwal: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer picked the wicket of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Mayank Agarwal, got really close to him, and then blew a flying kiss. The senior gave a death stare before walking back to the pavilion.

Harshit Rana gave a send-off to Henrich Klaasen as well. He was slapped with a fine of 60 percent match fee for violating IPL Code of Conducts.
