IPL 2024 Trade Window is still open, and rumours of a three-way trade is the latest topic being discussed on the internet with reports floating of three opening batters swaping teams ahead of the player auction, which is set to take place on December 19.
According to the gossip on social media, Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad are believed to be in talks for cash-only trade deals in the coming days.

The IPL trade window will be opened until the December 13th, but will once again resume a day after the auction on December 20th and will last until one month ahead of the new season. So, these days could also happen after the auction in Dubai.
However, the rumours indicate that SRH want to free up funds heading into the auction, meaning they want the trade to happen in the coming days, which could also force the other two transfers to happen soon.
Earlier gossip suggested that Mayank Agarwal could head to KKR, but latest talk is that the Indian opener is linked with a move to LSG, who are also in talks to trade South African opener Quinton de Kock.
It's no secret that KKR are in need of a wicketkeeper-batter. Hence, these rumours of a trade talk with LSG for De Kock have emerged on the internet. Also, the rumour mill indicates that KKR will trade either Venkatesh Iyer or Suyash Sharma to SRH.
While the trade talks may have some substance, the players being slated for a trade seem unrealistic as LSG may not want to blow their funds on Mayank as they already brought in Devdutt Padikkal as an Indian opener to partner KL Rahul.
But LSG may be tempted to cash in on De Kock, who was rarely used last season with Kyle Mayers and Nicholas Pooran taking over two overseas slots. Mayers replaced De Kock as opener, and Pooran took over the golves behind the stumps.
The duo may still retain their spots as Mayers provides the bowling option and Pooran has the finishing ability, batting in the middle order. This could also solve the issue of using Rahul and Padikkal or Mayers as openers.
De Kock, who had a brilliant ODI World Cup with the bat, will definitely be a first choice opening option in any team, but with the restriction of four overseas players in the 11, the Protea is unlikely to do that in most IPL teams.
KKR, who already have two overseas opening options may be tempted to bring in the South African, but they too may be keen on an Indian wicketkeeper. And also if KKR want to bring in De Kock, their retention of both Jason Roy and Rahmanullah Gurbaz seems senseless.
Of all the three deals, only SRH may find it benificial if the trade for Venkatesh Iyer or Suyash Sharma from KKR becomes a reality as they could boost their purse heading into the auction, and also replace Agarwal with an Indian player.
All this gossip of a trade will remain even after the auction as the window closes one month before the season starts, and also the talk of a mega auction not taking place next year, will see franchises make such transfers going forward.
However, when it comes to the KKR-SRH-LSG trade, the news just remains a wild rumour for now. There will be more clarity on this just days before the auction and what business the three teams do in the bidding process.
