When IPL arrives, the whole nation braces itself for some mouthwatering action. The two-month-long tournament brings unmatched joy among the fans across the country, and Virat Kohli is the same.
Virat Kohli has revealed he absolutely loves IPL and depicted the reason for it. The India legend, who dons the Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey, said that the beauty of IPL lies in its versatility.

"You do play all your tournaments which is one team versus another. ICC tournaments come every now and then, but even in ICC tournaments you don't interact with other players or see the other team, so often. But in IPL, you're probably meeting every team just every 2nd or 3rd day, and that's the beauty of IPL," Kohli said to Star Sports.
"You are playing in different conditions in a different city with a different team. Everybody has a different kind of determination at various stages of the tournament and such magical moments are created," he added.
Kohli also continued that the camaraderie between the players, and the way it connects the mass makes IPL the heartthrob of the tournaments.
"I absolutely love IPL, also because of the camaraderie you share, so many new players you play with, so many players that you've known for a long time who are not from your own country, whom you don't see often. There's a reason why everyone loves IPL so much, as there's a connection both for players and fans," Kohli concluded.
The Indian stalwart will have a huge task ahead in the IPL 2024 though. As the blockbuster tournament starts on March 22, Virat Kohli's RCB will lock horns against defending champions Chennai Super Kings, led by the evergreen MS Dhoni.
It is only an irony that Kohli's RCB has never won the IPL tournament, perhaps it is the year to rewrite history.
