Abhishek Porel provided a magnificent end to Delhi Capitals' batting with his blitzkrieg late in the innings against Punjab Kings on Saturday (March 23).
Porel was brought in as an Impact Player by DC and he played a superb knock of unbeaten 32 runs off just 10 balls to provide Delhi Capitals a key momentum.

Porel scored 25 runs off the last over, hitting 2 sixes and three fours of Harshal Patel's delivery. His innings helped Delhi to post 174 for 9 at the end of their full quota of overs.
Abhishek Porel is a cricketer from Bengal. He was born on October 17, 2002, and the 21-year-old is mainly a wicketkeeper-batter. He has played for Bengal in Ranji Trophy and is a promising young player.
Porel has been with Delhi Capitals since IPL 2023 and is regarded as a top prospect. He is also the brother of former India U19 bowler Ishan Porel.
"I just got to know three overs before. But I was ready as the support staff told me to be ready as an Impact Player, so I was quite prepared for batting at any time," Porel said at the mid-innings interview.
"My thought was to implement what I was doing at the practice. I wanted to pick the ball and hit, wherever it was. I was prepared to hit of slower bouncer or pace, and I was ready to hit wherever the ball was," Porel added.
