Gujarat Titans will be donning a Lavender Kit in their final home match of the IPL 2024 season on May 13, when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The Titans are currently languishing at the bottom of the table. The IPL 2022 champions and last year's finalists are enduring a dismal campaign under new captain Shubman Gill, but will be giving their all in the final couple of fixtures.

In their final home match, the Titans are set to move away from their Dark Blue jersey and will wear a Lavender kit as a symbol to stand against Cancer. This will be the second consecutive year that the Titans wear an altered kit to support the fight against the disease.
"The Gujarat Titans are taking a stand against cancer, stepping onto the field donning special lavender jerseys for the second year in a row. The players will showcase their commitment to the fight against cancer during their final home game on May 13, 2024. This gesture will serve as a reminder of the importance of early detection and access to quality care for improving outcomes in patients of cancer," a statement from Gujarat Titans read.
Shubman Gill, the Gujarat Titans captain, spoke on the dedication of the team towards the fight against Cancer and emphasized the importance of awareness among the mass.

"As sportspersons, we are aware of our social responsibility to our fans and the community at large. Wearing these lavender jerseys unites us with cancer fighters and honours their courage. Together, we hope that our efforts will contribute to a world where the burden of cancer can be overcome through awareness and education," he said.
Apart from wearing the jersey, there will be an activity on the ground to educate people about cancer prevention and necessary lifestyle changes as well.
