The IPL 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals on April 17 can be moved out of Kolkata, according to reports.
The match is scheduled to be played at the Eden Gardens on April 17, but BCCI is contemplating relocating or rescheduling the match.

As per reports, BCCI has already conveyed the message to both franchises, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) and the broadcasters.
The match at the Eden Gardens may get a new venue or new date due to Rama Navami on April 17. The festival is celebrated on a large scale and the Kolkata Police is unsure of providing adequate security for the match. Hence the KKR match against RR may get a different date or may be moved out of Kolkata.
A final talk with the Kolkata Police is scheduled but the match may find a new host if it reaches an impasse. BCCI released the IPL 2024 schedule in two folds. The first announcement saw the schedule of the first two weeks, while the final schedule was only released after the announcement of election dates.
Kolkata Knight Riders are currently on the road as they face Delhi Capitals up next on Wednesday (April 3) in Visakhapatnam. They have won their first two matches this season and will be playing five home matches in a row from April 14.
