With six matches left to play in their IPL 2024 league stages, table-toppers Rajasthan Royals played their match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, their fiefdom since the inception of the franchise tournament in 2008.
While the side won the game by a comfortable margin of nine wickets against Mumbai Indians on April 22 (Monday), the players took a victory lap around the stadium to thank the Jaipur crowd.

With a total of eight matches played, including five at home and three away, Rajasthan Royals have emerged as formidable contenders, securing victory in seven matches.
While four of their remaining six matches are scheduled on the road, they will turn to Guwahati to play their last two home matches of the season. The pivotal aspect of this decision lies in the relocation of their home venue, which will now witness the star batsman Riyan Parag, hailing from Assam, play his last two home matches at the Barsapara Stadium.
This strategic shift aims to capitalise on Parag's popularity as Rajasthan Royals, who are the winners of the inaugural IPL edition, are statistically the least followed side in the league. The decision to shift the home venue to Guwahati should help fan engagement in the region with a local boy in the team.
This is not the first time Rajasthan Royals played their home matches in Guwahati as the franchise played two of their home games at the venue last season too. While the matches in the NorthEast city were considered successful, RR fans were spotted criticising the decision to host matches at another venue.
As the tournament progresses, all eyes will be on Rajasthan Royals as they continue their quest for glory in IPL 2024, with Guwahati now serving as their new fortress and Riyan Parag leading the charge with his exceptional batting display.
