Mumbai Indians coach Kieron Pollard was captured having a heated argument with the 4th umpire during the IPL 2024 match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai Indians lost the match against CSK by a comfortable margin of 20 runs, which ended their mini-revival for the season. The Paltans had won the last two matches after a three-match losing streak, but were pegged back yet again.

MI vs CSK: What Happened with Kieron Pollard?

Kieron Pollard was seen arguing with the 4th umpire at the end of the 15th over of the match. Mumbai Indians had Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya at the crease and the score was 132 for 3. MI needed 75 runs in five overs at that stage and before the start of the 16th over, it was seen Pollard having an argument with the umpire at the dugout.

Kieron Pollard was not happy with the umpires as the MI coach wanted to take a Time-out after the 15th over. Mark Boucher and Pollard would have instilled some valuable words to their men in the middle as they pushed for the final quarter of the innings.

But the Time-out was not allowed by the umpires after some confusion and play continued. Unluckily, Hardik Pandya got dismissed in the third ball of the 16th over and then only the time-out could be taken.

It all went downhill from that point as MI couldn't chase the score down despite Rohit Sharma's brilliant century. The former MI captain registered his 8th T20 century but it was not enough to give them the all-important two points.
