The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will be held in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and will be a two-day affair.
The ten teams will be aiming to build a strong squad for the next IPL cycle as the mega auction takes place for the first time in Saudi Arabia.

Originally slated to take place in Riyadh, the mega extravaganza has been moved to the coastal city of Jeddah and will be happening on November 24 and 25 respectively. This is the first time an IPL auction is happening in Saudi Arabia. The auction will be a two-day affair because of the massive number of squad slots that requires to be filled.
The registration for players in the IPL officially closed on November 4, 2024, with a remarkable total of 1,574 participants (1,165 from India and 409 from overseas) signing up for the upcoming IPL 2025 Player Auction.
Among those registered, there are 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations. BCCI introduced the rule of mandatory registration in the mega auction to be part of mini-auction in the latter years of a cycle, which perhaps played a part in the record number of registrations.
Among the foreign countries, South Africa has the most number of applicants with 91. Australia follow next with 76. In the IPL 2025 auction, an Italy player has also registered himself while there are registered players from USA, UAE, Scotland, and Canada as well.
