The IPL 2025 mega auction promises two exciting days of intense bidding as the gala event takes place in Jeddah.
A total of 577 players will be going under the hammer across the two-day event in Jeddah. The auction will seal the fate of the players as the 10 franchises look to build their teams for the upcoming IPL cycle.

The BCCI confirmed that a total of 84 players will be going under the hammer on the first day of the mega event. The first two sets are the Marquee sets consisting of six players each. A total of 38 uncapped players' fate will also be determined today (November 24) at the auction.
Here's a concise breakdown of the guidelines, timelines, and player sets that are set to shape this highly anticipated event.
The auction will proceed in the following order: Marquee Lots, followed by lunch, then Capped Batters, All-Rounders, and Wicketkeepers. This will be followed by a 15-minute break. Next, Capped Bowlers will go under the hammer, followed by another 10-minute break. The final set on Day 1 will feature the first Uncapped Players set, comprising of 38 players. It means big names like Faf du Plessis, Kane Williamson, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane, among others, will come for bidding on Monday.
0 - Rs 1 Crore: 5 Lakh
Rs 1 - 2 Crore: 10 Lakh
Rs 2 - 5 Cr: 20 Lakh
Rs 5 Cr+: 25 Lakh
Hence, the players with a base price of Rs 2 crore shall start with Rs 10 lakh increments, which means the second bid will be Rs 2.05 crore, and as it crosses 3 crore mark, it shall continue at Rs 3.10 crore. If the base price is INR 1.25 crore then the second bid will be 1.3 crore.
