Ishan Kishan's meteoric rise in Indian cricket has come down several notches since the ODI World Cup in 2023.
Kishan had a few opportunities in the World Cup at the early stages, and then has been hurled with issues. He was left out of the BCCI central contract due to not playing in the domestic tournaments, was removed of the India side, and then Mumbai Indians have also stripped him off of the team.

The Paltans bought Kishan for a whopping Rs 15.25 crore in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Despite being a prolific performer for them over the last three years, Kishan has found himself unwanted by the five-time IPL champions.
Ishan Kishan's whole IPL journey has been with Mumbai Indians. The 26-year-old has played 105 matches in the tournament, scoring 2644 runs at an average of 28.43, and a strike rate of 136.
As the auction arrives, make no mistake, Kishan will definitely be in demand. Here are four teams who would love to have the Jharkhand batter in the team.
Ishan Kishan will be high in the KKR wishlist in the mega auction. The Knights need a wicketkeeper and Kishan's acquisition will not just solve that, but also provide an opening option for the Knight Riders. Hence KKR may give a try to bring him at the franchise for the next cycle.
Gujarat Titans are another team who are in need of a wicketkeeper and an opener. Ishan Kishan does tick both boxes for them and the Titans may look to bring him for another factor, which is Shubman Gill. Both Kishan and Gill are close friends and the GT captain may vouch for his India buddy at the same franchise. Also, Kishan and Gill can provide the Titans a left-right batting pair, a much-cherished criterion for any team.
With Virat Kohli set to open, Ishan Kishan can be the perfect foil to partner Kohli. RCB just retained three players which gives them a substantial auction purse and if they want to pursue the southpaw, they may have him. Kishan would also like to revive his career and the Kohli factor will be an added incentive from his perspective. And Chinnaswamy would also suit Kishan's batting style, who knows only one mode of batting, smacking the ball out of the park.
