IPL 2025 Auction: Mohammad Shami to Mukesh Kumar, Complete List of Bengal Players in IPL Mega Auction

As the mega auction for IPL 2025 is just a few days away and all the teams have announced their retained players, the list of the players who will go under the hammer in the auction also has been announced by Jay Shah, the Secretary of BCCI.

The IPL 2025 auction will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and a total of 574 players will go under the hammer in this auction. There will be 208 overseas players along with 366 Indian players. Among them, only 12 players have been listed as marquee players, whose bidding price will start from Rs. 2 crore.

There will be a total of 13 cricketers from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) who have been listed among those 366 Indian players. The only marquee player representing CAB is the Indian star fast bowler Mohammad Shami. Among these 13 players, only four are capped players, and only these four players have the experience to play in IPL for any franchise.

Mohammad Shami played 110 IPL matches for different franchises and in IPL 2023, he took 28 wickets and won the Purple Cap for Gujarat Titans. Shahbaz Ahmad played 55 matches in IPL and his last team was Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The 31-year-old right-arm medium pacer, Mukesh Kumar played 20 matches in IPL for the Delhi Capitals. Akash Deep, another capped fast bowler from Bengal, has played 8 matches so far in the IPL.

Among the uncapped players, there are players like Abhimanyu Easwaran, Sudip Gharami and Ishan Porel, who have been representing Bengal in first-class matches for a long time.

Easwaran recently got selected for the upcoming Australia tour of the Indian national team. However, Abishek Porel, the left-handed wicketkeeper-batter is the only player from Bengal who got retained by any franchise for the mega auction.
