IPL 2025 Auction: Rishabh Pant & Shreyas Iyer Among Players to Feature in Two Marquee Sets

Indian stars Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer feature in the two marquee sets at the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, scheduled to be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

There will be two marquee sets in the IPL Mega Auction featuring 12 players - 6 in each set. The two sets for elite players returns for the first time since 2018 after the previous big auction featured just one marquee set.

The players in the marquee set will come in with a base price of Rs 2 Crore for the auction set to be held at the Abady Al Johar Arena, also known as Benchmark Arena, on November 24.

There are several players who have registered their names for the auction at the base price of INR 2 Core, including Pant, Shreyas Iyer as well as several other Indian and overseas stars, but not everyone are in the marquee sets.

Only South Africa's David Miller has set his base price at Rs 1.50 Crore in the marque sets. The rest all carry a reserve price of Rs 2 Crore. Here is a look at players who feature in the marquee sets:

The BCCI announced the final players list on Friday (November 15) after allowing franchises until November 12th to make their choices from the 1574 players registered for the auction.

A total of 574 names of which 366 are Indian players and 208 overseas players will go under the hammer during the big IPL 2025 auction. The list includes 241 capped, 330 uncapped and 3 Associate players.

After a total of 46 players were retained by the franchises ahead of the October 31st deadline, a maximum of 204 slots, including 70 overseas, can be filled by teams at the two-day auction. A squad can have a maximum of 25 players for a season.
