IPL 2025: Ayush Mhatre to Mayank Agarwal - From RCB to CSK; Full List of Squad Changes, Replacements in This Season

By MyKhel Staff

The IPL 2025 is set to resume after its brief hiatus due to the geopolitical tensions between India and Pakistan.

The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League has been eventful, to say the least. We have witnessed some amazing action on the field, while things have also turned thrilling off the field.

IPL 2025

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Mumbai Indians (MI) currently occupy the playoff spots, while the likes of Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad are already eliminated from the tournament.

The season has been quite surprising for some of the retained players, who have failed to find their usual touch. A few of the big-money signings have struggled to live up to the billing, whereas unknown youngsters have taken centre stage.

For CSK, amid a dreadful season, a couple of mid-season signings have stepped up and have produced enough evidence of their talent. Across the season, there were many changes in various squads due to injuries and other reasons.

After the suspension of IPL for a week due to India-Pakistan issues, many foreigners have decided not to return. Amid this, the IPL announced the allowance of temporary signings for the teams. With the new provision, franchises will be able to rope in new players as replacements, but they won't be eligible for retention next season.

First Temporary Signing of IPL

As a first, Delhi Capitals roped in Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman as a replacement for Australia's Jake Fraser-McGurk - thus acquiring the first ever Temporary Signing in IPL history.
