Jasprit Bumrah and Karun Nair were on Sunday (April 13) invovled in a heated exchange after the Delhi Capitals impact substitute took the ace Mumbai Indians pacers to the cleaners during the IPL 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Nair, who played in the IPL for the first time in three years, made a telling impact by scoring 89 off 40 balls, but the DC batter's knock went in vain as MI pulled off victory from jaws of defeat at Kotla, where three suicidal run outs cost the home the team.

The 33-year-old Indian batter got under the skin of Bumrah after he registed 26 runs off his 9 deliveries. The onslaught included 2 sixes and 4 fours, but the heated verbal spat happened after the MI pacer took the pounding from the DC batter.
The incident happened during the strategic time-out after Nair accidentaly collided with Bumrah while running between the wickets, leading to an argument between the two players. The duo continued to discuss about the issue even after the match.
Bumrah was absolutely fuming as Karun tried to defend and explained the issue to MI skipper Hardik Pandya as things cooled down. While there was heat between the two players, Rohit Sharma's reaction to the entire situation has gone viral. Watch the video here:
Karun completed his fifty in Bumrah's over, and then went on to pile more runs, making the MI bowling attack look clueless until Mitchell Santner produced a magic delivery to castle him in the 12th over, triggering a DC batting collapse.
Bumrah, who had given away 29 runs in his first two overs without a wicket, returned to the attack following Nair's dismissal and then played a big part in MI's unexpected comeback. The 31-year-old Indian pacer first removed DC captain Axar Patel in his third over before a madness in his final over.
Defending 23 off 12 balls, Bumrah took the responsibilty of bowling the all important penultimate over and live up to his hype of the best pacers in world cricket right now. The MI ace pacer gave away 10 runs, but DC's brain faded moment resulted in three back-to-back run outs and eventually a 12-run loss with an over to spare.
