In a dramatic turn of events during the IPL 2025 clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, tensions escalated beyond the cricket field.
During the RCB vs CSK match, already a high-stakes encounter, witnessed an off-field altercation involving families of senior Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Income Tax (IT) officers.

On the field, RCB secured a narrow victory, defeating CSK by two runs. Batting first, RCB posted a formidable total of 213/5, with significant contributions from Virat Kohli (62 off 33 balls), Jacob Bethell (55 off 33), and a rapid-fire 53* off 14 balls by Romario Shepherd. In response, CSK's chase was anchored by a 114-run partnership between Ayush Mhatre (94 off 48) and Ravindra Jadeja (77* off 45). Despite their efforts, CSK concluded their innings at 211/5, falling just short of the target.
The match's intensity was mirrored in the stands, but a shocking incident emerged. As per reports, an IPS family collided inside the VIP box at the Chinnaswamy Stadium with IT officials.
The Elite Diamond Box at the stadium is reserved for the dignitaries and other VVIP invitees. But it has been brought to news that those two families clashed over allocated seats at the box. They were at odds regarding which seat was allocated to whom, and a verbal clash broke out during the match.
The IPS Officer's Wife Nitu Thakur also claimed of sexual harassment of her daughter inside the Diamond Box, which took place around 9:40 pm on Saturday (May 3). The complaint was registered from her side at the Cubbon Park Police Station in Bengaluru, which claims the suspects abused her son and inappropriately touched her daughter. And the offenders are reported be the IT officials.
