CSK vs KKR: The Kolkata Knight Riders put on a dominant show at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday night, cruising to an emphatic 8-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings in Match 25 of the IPL 2025.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl, KKR made full use of the spin-friendly surface in Chennai. Their bowlers delivered a masterclass in discipline and variation, skittling CSK for just 103 runs in their 20 overs.

Sunil Narine was the standout, returning figures of 3 for 13, while Varun Chakaravarthy (2/22) and Moeen Ali (1/20) tightened the screws through the middle overs. Harshit Rana (2/16) and Vaibhav Arora (1/31) added to CSK's woes with early and late breakthroughs.

The Super Kings struggled to build any sort of rhythm. Both openers - Rachin Ravindra (4) and Devon Conway (12) - departed early, and although Vijay Shankar (29 off 21) and Shivam Dube (31* off 29) showed some resistance, there was little support from the rest of the lineup. The lower order collapsed under pressure, with only three players managing to reach double figures.

Chasing a modest total, KKR made light work of the target. Narine, promoted up the order, was in destructive mood, smashing 44 from just 18 balls with five towering sixes and two boundaries. Quinton de Kock (23 off 16) gave KKR a fiery start, and the duo of Ajinkya Rahane (20* off 17) and Rinku Singh (15* off 12) sealed the chase with more than nine overs to spare.
