Deli Capitals owner Parth Jindal has voiced his disapproval of the Impact Player Rule in the IPL and cleared his stance on mega auction.
The much-debated Impact Player rule allows teams to substitute a player from their four named substitutes at any point during a match. It has come under major scrutiny after many players and coaches criticized the idea.

And Jindal believes that while this rule opens up opportunities for young players, it negatively impacts Indian cricket by diminishing the importance of all-rounders.
At the IPL owners meeting at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai, IPL franchise owners gathered to discuss player retention policies and updates for the upcoming IPL 2025 season. During this meeting, Parth Jindal reiterated his opposition to the Impact Player Rule. He argued that this rule hinders the development of all-rounders, which is crucial for Indian cricket's growth.
Jindal's main concern with the Impact Player Rule is its effect on all-rounders. He stated that reducing their role could be detrimental to their growth and overall contribution to the game.
"Impact Player rule is detrimental to the growth of the allrounders," he said.
The DC owner also confirmed his support for the mega auction. Jindal was previously sceptical about the auction which shakes up the squads of all the teams. But he confirmed his support for the auction process.
I'm surprised that there was a debate over continuation of the big auction in the first place. I'm personally in favour of it," the DC owner said.
The meeting also saw discussions on various other policies related to player retention for IPL 2025. While some franchises are in favour of increasing player retentions, others have expressed dissatisfaction with this idea. During the meeting, a notable disagreement occurred between KKR owner Shahrukh Khan and Punjab Kings owner Ness Wadia. The two had a verbal spat over the retention numbers ahead of the mega auction.
