Chennai Super Kings got just the start they needed against Lucknow Super Giants on 14th April, 2025, thanks to a dream delivery from Anshul Kamboj and a sharp, well-timed DRS call-led by none other than MS Dhoni.
In just the fourth over of the innings, Anshul Kamboj delivered a beautifully pitched-up delivery from around the wicket that tailed into Nicholas Pooran, who attempted a flick but was beaten and struck on the pads.

At first glance, the ball seemed to be just clipping the leg stump, and the appeal from the bowler was met with hesitation from the umpire, who turned it down.
MS Dhoni, known for his sharp judgment, initially looked reluctant to take the review and even smiled, taking a moment before eventually deciding to go for DRS. UltraEdge confirmed there was no bat involved, and HawkEye revealed that the impact was in line and the ball was crashing into the leg stump. The decision was overturned with three reds, and Pooran was adjudged LBW for 8 off 9 balls, having hit two boundaries.
It was a perfect start for the Super Kings, made even sweeter by the calm and calculated call from Dhoni.
At the time of writing this article, Lucknow are currently batting at 121/4 after 17 overs of play with Rishabh Pant and Abdul Samad at the crease.
Jadeja has been the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets, while the likes of Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Khamboj have picked up a wicket each. With a run-rate little over 7, LSG will be looking to get their total close to 160.
