The IPL 2025 season faced a brief suspension due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, halting matches for a week before the tournament was cleared to resume on May 17, 2025. With 17 matches remaining, including two Sunday double-headers, the league will now be played across six revised venues-Bengaluru, Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.
Notably, Punjab Kings have shifted their home games to Jaipur, while Chennai and Hyderabad will no longer host league-stage matches. The much-anticipated restart begins with Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing Kolkata Knight Riders in Bengaluru, with the final match set for June 3. The venues for the playoff fixtures are yet to be announced, but the schedule includes Qualifier 1 on May 29, the Eliminator on May 30, Qualifier 2 on June 1, and the final showdown on June 3.
