After a tough loss to Gujarat Titans in their last outing, Delhi Capitals are gearing up for a strong comeback as they prepare to take on Lucknow Super Giants at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
Despite the recent hiccup, the Axar Patel-led unit has shown promising form this season, clinching five victories in their seven games so far. One of the standout performers in the squad has been 20-year-old all-rounder Vipraj Nigam, who continues to grow in confidence and stature.

Speaking ahead of the upcoming clash, Nigam shared his thoughts during a pre-match press conference. "I consider myself an all-rounder. I have to make contributions with the ball and also with the bat whenever required," he said, underlining his dual responsibility in the team.
When asked about the emotional aspect of playing in front of a home crowd and his family, Nigam admitted that the experience comes with its fair share of nerves. "Yes, there is a lot of pressure and nervousness in all the games. It just adds up when you play in front of your family and coach," he said.
Nigam also credited the senior players in the squad for playing a vital role in his development. "I get advice from the seniors in every game. We do get some help from the seniors. There are some players who were in Lucknow last year and are here this year as well. We talk about those aspects in our team meetings and plan accordingly," he revealed.
On being quizzed about the availability of Faf du Plessis, who missed the previous game due to injury, Nigam provided a brief update: "He is recovering well but the final call will be taken by the management."
With 10 points in their kitty, Delhi Capitals will be eager to bounce back and add momentum to their IPL 2025 campaign as the league stage nears its business end.
