Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have suffered a minor blip as Jacob Bethell is potentially ruled out of the IPL 2025.

Jacob Bethell, the English all-rounder sustained a left hamstring injury during England's ODI series against India in February 2025. This injury has cast doubt on his participation in the upcoming IPL 2025 season.

Bethell has been ruled out of the Champions Trophy 2025, and although his injury length is yet to be confirmed, with just over five weeks till the IPL starts, the RCB think tank may have to already think of a potential replacement for the English youngster.

The southpaw was sold to RCB as they paid a decent Rs 2.60 crore for him. The southpaw is known for his hard-hitting while he can contribute with decent left arm orthodox spin as well. To address Bethell's potential absence, Royal Challengers Bengaluru might consider signing one of the following players, who remained unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction.

1. Finn Allen

The New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman is known for his explosive batting at the top order, boasting a T20 strike rate exceeding 160. His aggressive style could provide RCB with rapid starts in the powerplay overs.

2. Kyle Mayers

The West Indian all-rounder offers versatility with his left-handed batting and medium-pace bowling. Mayers can adapt his batting to different situations and adds depth to the bowling attack, making him a valuable asset.

3. Jonny Bairstow

The English wicketkeeper-batsman brings extensive IPL experience and a proven track record in subcontinental conditions. His aggressive batting style and experience in pressure situations could significantly bolster RCB's top order. It was a surprise that Bairstow went unsold in the mega auction, but RCB may provide him the platform the veteran needs to shine.
