IPL 2025: Kavya Maran’s Delightful Reaction to Travis Head’s Towering 105m Six Goes Viral

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad witnessed a power-packed show on Sunday, as Travis Head lit up the IPL 2025 clash between SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The Australian southpaw was in destructive form, treating the home crowd to a batting masterclass. But it wasn’t just the fans who were beaming — SRH owner Kavya Maran couldn’t contain her excitement, smiling and clapping from the stands as Head produced one of the moments of the match with a mammoth 105-metre six.

IPL 2025 Kavya Maran s Delightful Reaction to Travis Head s Towering 105m Six Goes Viral

The explosive moment came in the fifth over of the SRH innings. RR’s stand-in skipper Riyan Parag turned to pace spearhead Jofra Archer, who had been one of the biggest buys in the IPL 2025 auction at a hefty ₹12.50 crore.

But Head was in no mood to show mercy. Archer’s first delivery, a short-pitched ball, sat up perfectly, and Head launched it high and handsome over the on-side fence. The camera quickly panned to Kavya Maran, and her beaming smile and delighted claps became one of the viral moments of the evening.

Archer’s Nightmare Over

That over turned into a nightmare for Jofra Archer, as Travis Head continued his onslaught. The left-hander hammered 23 runs off Archer’s first over, treating the RR pacer with utter disdain. After the monstrous six, Head followed up with a boundary and then three consecutive fours, leaving the RR camp stunned. For the home supporters, it was a dream start, and for SRH, the tone was well and truly set.

Kavya Maran Ecstatic In The Stands

SRH owner Kavya Maran has often been seen passionately supporting her team, but Sunday’s performance left her particularly ecstatic. Her reactions were caught on camera multiple times — beaming smiles, enthusiastic claps, and genuine delight as Head’s fireworks lit up the evening. Fans on social media were quick to share clips of Maran’s animated celebrations, making her trend alongside Head’s heroic knock.

SRH Off To A Flying Start Despite Early Wicket

The day had started with RR winning the toss and Riyan Parag opting to bowl first. The decision backfired almost instantly, as SRH’s opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head launched a blistering assault on the RR bowlers. Abhishek’s cameo of 24 off just 11 balls came to an end in the fourth over when Sri Lankan off-spinner Maheesh Theekshana got the breakthrough.

However, the departure of Abhishek did nothing to halt the scoring rate. Ishan Kishan walked out to the middle, and together with Travis Head, ensured that the run flow remained uninterrupted. The duo tore into the RR attack, and inside just seven overs, SRH had already breached the 100-run mark.

Riyan Parag’s Gamble Misfires

Riyan Parag’s decision to bring Archer into the attack early, perhaps hoping for a breakthrough, proved to be disastrous. Instead of tightening the screws, Archer became the victim of Head’s ferocious striking. The 23-run over shifted the momentum fully in SRH’s favour and left the visitors scrambling for answers.

Fans Go Wild As SRH Dominate

The home crowd in Hyderabad lapped up every moment of Head’s onslaught, and social media was flooded with reactions to the towering 105-metre six. “Travis Head has just made Hyderabad his playground,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Kavya Maran’s smile says it all!”

As the innings progressed, SRH looked well set to post a massive total, with Head and Kishan providing the perfect platform. The SunRisers’ explosive start has not only thrilled their supporters but also once again highlighted the firepower in their top order.
