As the IPL 2025 approaches, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders are finalizing their few zigsaws to continue their upsurge.
After a triumphant IPL 2024, KKR have undergone a few changes. The captain Shreyas Iyer has taken a move away to Punjab Kings, while their driving force and mentor Gautam Gambhir has also left for the India role.

Not just that, along with Gambhir, KKR's coaching mainstay Abhishek Nayar and fielding coach Ryan ten Doeschate have also left.
Amid this, the Knight Riders have roped in new faces into the setup. Former CSK star and West Indies legend Dwayne Bravo is the new mentor, while a few other tweaks have also taken place at the franchise.
The newest addition to their list is Biju George, who has rejoined the KKR with a new role. George, the former fielding coach of Delhi Capitals and a renowned trainer, has assumed the Head of Talent Scouting post at the Kolkata-based franchise.
MyKhel understands George's contract was terminated with the Delhi Capitals at the end of last year. The veteran, who has served as the fielding coach of the Indian women's team as well in the past, was buoyant to join KKR and said that the Knight Riders are upbeat for the new season.
"The mood in the camp is positive and highly motivated as the team prepares to defend its championship title. Camp starts next month, and the players I spoke to are absolutely thrilled and ready to take on the challenge," George said to Moneycontrol.
Kolkata Knight Riders will commence their IPL 2025 season with a home match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22. Ahead of that, the Knights have already started their pre-season camp in Mumbai. The likes of Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Anukul Roy were spotted at the camp and it will shift to Kolkata next month.
